The location to the Navy Base
For the most part it was great except being double charged on my credit card which put me in a finacial bind for my trip.
No clean towels, no house keeping in 3 days i was there free breakfast was a joke you could never find the staff was not at the front desk i would never stay there again and a 15 % tax never again will we stay there
When I called the motel to confirm my reservation on the evening I was to arrive they had no information on my reservation from Booked.net even though I gave them the confirmation number
days inn great lakes charged me for my stay and booking charge me too way did i have to pay to pay too times $69.39 that not right somebody tell why that .
Location in regards to Gurnee Mills and Great America.
Staff was clueless, took 45 minutes to check in with my Booked.net reservation. Said I didn't have one, and then tried to charge me full price.
It was located 5 minutes away from Naval base where husbands graduation was going on.
Service was poor, unfriendly staff. Rooms where not cleaned daily. Dead bult on one of the 2 rooms booked was broken. Very poor service was not satisfied at all.
Nice big room, very clean, new king sized bed, helpful staff.
Housekeeping tried to get in the room an hour before checkout as my wide and I were making love, the carpet and tables were old and worn, the 'breakfast' was very lame, and the selection for coffee before we left was definitely lackluster at best, we stopped at McDonalds just to get a decent black coffee.
Not a satisfactory stay
The building is in serious need of a revamp.. The carpet is ancient and there's an odor throughout the place. For the price I paid the room should have been vastly better. There was broken furniture, the hair dryer fell off the wall during the night, the paint on the walls was patchy, and the list goes on. The TV signal was poor and the volume adjusted itself. The WiFi was unreliable and dropped out more times than I bother to recall. Oh, and they ran out of food for breakfast and did not have any back up, so I had to go out and pay for breakfast elsewhere. The front desk staff did not offer any compensation, which I think is poor service.
Staff was friendly, person plowing the snow was chaotic and scary.
Pillows were hard and very uncomfortable, hallway smelled like smoke.
The bed was comfortable.
The front desk staff were confused and could not seem to figure out our 2 rooms, the price, the reservation, the room keys, how many nights our stay would be. Very frustrating!! In addition, the rooms were as basic as you can imagine, sink separated from the bathroom entirely, no baseboards, no bedside table, very old, blurry box tv.
The front desk staff was amazing. I had an issue with my room and they immediately changed my room and were so lovely.
The breakfast could have had protein
Didn't care for the $40 charge they wanted for early arrival. Didn't care for not pre advising use about construction on the property
Had trouble finding the Inn - it was dark (8:45PM) and the sign was not lighted. When telling the clerk about this, she responded by saying that the light does not go on until later!
It was right down the road from the NAVY base which is why we went to visit a family member, a good restaurant was close, it felt like a friendly, safe, secure location, the staff and management were Navy family friendly, all in all it was what we needed
I did enjoy the bed
I didn't like the fact that my TV did not work nor did the person at the front desk bother to address the issues in a timely manner
